World Art Day
What if we celebrated World Art Day with our feet in the sand? Created by the International Association of Art in honor of Leonardo da Vinci's birthday, this day promotes creativity in all its forms. This is exactly what artist Zarpõ did on the beach at Sauveterre, in Vendée, France. He sculpted a gigantic work, playing with natural curves and patterns to create an unforgettable spectacle.
Zarpõ, aka 'Le Jardinier de la Plage,' creates his art with just the wind, the sand, and a huge dose of talent. Here, each line drawn tells a story, each motif interacts with the environment. But this art has one golden rule: It is ephemeral. In a few hours, the tide will have erased everything.
